Why You Ought to Quit Trying to Prove Yourself to Folks Who Don’t Matter

Now, let me tell you something as plain as the nose on your face: there ain’t no point in spending your precious days on God’s green earth trying to make everyone else like you. You could walk on water and some fool would complain you don’t know how to swim. So, stop tying yourself into knots for people who wouldn’t cross a puddle for you. Here’s six good reasons why proving yourself to others is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. 1. Mind Your Own Feelings and Draw a Line in the Sand When some … Continue readingWhy You Ought to Quit Trying to Prove Yourself to Folks Who Don’t Matter

The Unsung Heroes Within: How Tiny Aliens Keep Us Alive and Kicking

The billions of bacteria living in and on our bodies are the closest thing to aliens we’ll ever have the pleasure—or misfortune—of hosting. They’re foreign travelers with their own peculiar habits and genes, but they’ve been riding along with us for so long they might as well be family. They’re not just hitchhikers; they’re indispensable co-workers keeping the whole human machine from falling apart. The Little Critters in Charge You see, these bacteria, collectively called the microbiome, outnumber our own cells and carry ten times as much genetic material as we do. Their DNA isn’t ours, and yet we … Continue readingThe Unsung Heroes Within: How Tiny Aliens Keep Us Alive and Kicking

Personal transformation and empowerment using the Dickens Process

The Dickens Process works because it takes a page right out of A Christmas Carol, one of the finest tales ever spun about human change. Old Ebenezer Scrooge didn’t wake up a better man because someone handed him a pamphlet on positivity. No, sir! He was dragged by the scruff of his neck through the past, present, and future until he saw, with crystal clarity, the mess he’d made of his life and the misery yet to come. The process grabs you by your own shirt collar and says, “Look here! This is the pain your rotten beliefs have … Continue readingPersonal transformation and empowerment using the Dickens Process

Timeless Advice about Women – Teach this to your boys to avoid heartaches

No matter how lovely or tempting she is, don’t go messing with another man’s wife. That’s trouble no man needs. A pretty face might catch your eye, but it’s a good heart that’ll make a home. Look for that, not just the shine. Be careful who you give your time to. A bad woman will waste it faster than a thief with your wallet. A man fights enough battles in life. If your woman becomes another one, it’s time to let her go. You deserve peace, not a constant fight. Keep your purpose at the center of your life. … Continue readingTimeless Advice about Women – Teach this to your boys to avoid heartaches

How People work – ‘Reward,’ ‘Ideology,’ ‘Coercion,’ and ‘Ego’

My friends, let me share a truth about the curious nature of people: their motivations are the lock and key to their hearts and minds. The trouble is, we’re a peculiar bunch—always quick to assume what might not be so. You spot a fat wallet and reckon the man’s greedy. You see a preacher in the pulpit and decide he must be a saint. Or maybe you catch sight of an old gent with a young, pretty gal in a dress that’s doing’ more showing’ than covering’, and your thoughts run wild—painting’ her as a floozy, a gold-digger, or … Continue readingHow People work – ‘Reward,’ ‘Ideology,’ ‘Coercion,’ and ‘Ego’

Bold Dreams, Big Teams, and the Irreplaceable Human Spark

Bold Dreams, Big Teams, and the Irreplaceable Human Spark There’s dreaming small, the kind that stays snug and safe under a roof of “what’s realistic,” and then there’s dreaming big—the kind that has you standing at the edge of an abyss, staring into what seems impossible, and saying, “What if?” It’s not just about ambition; it’s about the audacity to envision something the world hasn’t dared to imagine yet. Think of the type who looks at the Grand Canyon, not as a wonder to admire, but as a canvas for ideas so vast they might just reshape the horizon … Continue readingBold Dreams, Big Teams, and the Irreplaceable Human Spark

SUPERMEN

The rise of the “supermen” has begun. Humanity’s final summit convened beneath the shadow of a vast synthetic spire, its edges glowing faintly with the neural hum of artificial intelligence. It was a place of paradox: designed by machines to facilitate the ultimate decisions of men. Leaders from every corner of Earth gathered, though their faces betrayed not power but resignation. The reason was clear. Humanity’s dominion was slipping. The grim truth, AI had begun to outpace human capability, not only in speed but in creativity, strategy, and thought. The tools mankind had created were no longer merely tools—they were … Continue readingSUPERMEN

Monkey Brain

Ah, the monkey brain. We sure do love our bananas, don’t we? We like things just the way they are—simple, comfortable, and familiar. Why bother changing the toilet or the car or even the airplane? They get the job done, right? Well, good enough might be good enough for a chimp, but I reckon we humans ought to have a little more gumption. The truth is, most of what we call progress is just rearranging the same old furniture in a slightly fancier room. Our class system? Still built on who owns the most stuff. Our beliefs? Dressed up … Continue readingMonkey Brain

Love is a GIFT

How’s coffee. It’s great. Is there love in those words? Maybe, maybe not. Love grows from simplest of things. It is always there if we allowed to be. You give it away and when it comes back it is real. The hard part is your always giving it away not knowing what you’re going to get back. We are used to everything being a science or a skill. A challenge to overcome. We think we can control our destiny. We can somewhat. But there’s more that we cannot choose. It is quite illogical to believe in fate or magic … Continue readingLove is a GIFT

LOOK then in the EYES.

The Art of the Close Look them straight in the eyes — steady, calm — and deliver your line. Then lean in slightly… and whisper the punch line. Pause.Laugh. Turn as if you’re about to walk away — slow, confident, unhurried. Then glance back, just halfway, and let the silence do the work. That’s when they’ll come to you. Congratulations — you’ve just closed the deal. Collect your check, kiss and shut up.  Because buying a car — or anything worth negotiating — is just like dating. It’s all about timing, confidence, and the power of the pause.   Just in … Continue readingLOOK then in the EYES.

Victims of insanity

We are prisoners of repeating history. We are victims over an over. Blameless perhaps because we follow the same path but tragic just the same. We have to break the chains that bind us to poverty, failed relationships, unsatisfying jobs and on a global scale war, poverty, hunger and every other malice. So why do we repeat the same wrong time after time. It has to do with being human. We all remember the power and acceleration of a fast car, we don’t remember the bad fuel economy or other problems. We must all think before we react again….

I must confess

I do my thing, and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations. And you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, And if by chance we find each other, it’s beautiful; If not, it can’t be helped. – Fritz Perls I must confess—I fear nearly everything… Until I discover, once again, that I truly fear nothing. And on that day, I grow a few millimeters taller as a human being. That first kiss? Always the scariest. The second is better. … Continue readingI must confess

A New Life for Toby Brown

Folks like to say we only live once. That’s the kind of sentence sold by people who’ve never looked closely at their own Tuesdays. The truth is plainer and less marketable: we die in small installments and keep waking up anyway. Toby Brown had practiced this art so long he could have taught night classes. He died to a dozen versions of himself—handy Toby, dutiful Toby, career-ladder Toby—and kept right on living like a stubborn weed in a cracked sidewalk. TB, to the handful who bothered to abbreviate him, never lined up neatly with the herd. He’d cut his … Continue readingA New Life for Toby Brown

YOUR DESTINY

The world conspire against you or with you, the choice is yours. When it looks like the world is conspiring with us. We have to take the advantage. – Paulo Coelho    Folks, life’s a lot like the weather: everybody talks about it, and nobody seems to have much control over it—until they realize they do. People spend half their time muttering about how the world is against them, like the universe woke up this morning just to spill their coffee. But here’s the secret: the universe doesn’t have a vendetta; it’s giving you choices. Sometimes they’re as clear as … Continue readingYOUR DESTINY

Haiti

I saw a little girl walking down the street carrying her whole life in her head.  I asked others for her name, they knew her only as ti madam. On second glance she was not a girl but a woman.  She had all the desires of a girl and the passions of tigress.  She was trapped by her circumstance, a creature of circumstance. Still a bird without flight, a butterfly in a cocoon, a young bribe without a lover. Her black waist long hair flowing down the mountains, an unexplored country, hidden in mystery.  How I desire to explore … Continue readingHaiti

Explorations in Honesty. The Bright, Blinding Beast

Honesty is such a gray word. One might expect something as simple and virtuous as honesty to be clean-cut, black or white, solid as a preacher’s handshake. But we don’t live in a black-and-white world. All our perceptions are blurred, smudged in shades of gray like an overused pencil eraser. True honesty—pure, unadulterated truth—would be a light too blinding, too hot, for our tender souls to endure. It would sear us to the core, leave us naked and trembling like sinners on judgment day. And so we compromise. A little dishonesty here, a dab of self-delusion there, like smudges … Continue readingExplorations in Honesty. The Bright, Blinding Beast

Path to Everything
