So here’s my plan for 2026.
Every month, I’m going to work through one of these books.
I say work through because I’m not actually going to read them. I’m going to let someone read them to me. Audible will do the heavy lifting while I do what modern life requires—sit in traffic, drive to jobs, run errands, wait on the world.
I’ve already read most of these books at some point in my life. Some of them more than once. That’s not a weakness in the plan—it’s the point. Good ideas age well. Bad ones don’t survive rereading.
And here’s what I know for certain:
If you consume one of these books a month, by the end of twelve months, your mindset will not be the same. Not slightly adjusted. Not mildly improved. Fundamentally altered.
I’ll go further than that.
If you don’t change after a year of this, you weren’t listening.
If you want to win in 2026—financially, strategically, psychologically—this is a simple way to stack the odds. You don’t need seminars. You don’t need gurus. You don’t need another productivity app that guilts you into checking boxes. You need exposure to better thinking.
Here’s how easy it actually is.
If you already use Amazon, you probably have Audible credits sitting there like loose change in a couch. Download the app. Download the book. Pair your phone to your car. Bluetooth it through the radio. Done.
Most of these audiobooks are four to six hours long. That’s not a commitment—it’s a few commutes, a few drives, a few mornings where you didn’t feel like listening to the same song for the thousandth time.
An hour a day is enough. Even thirty minutes works. Time compounds when attention is consistent.
And no, you don’t have to agree with everything they say. In fact, if you do agree with everything, you’re probably not learning much. Some of these authors will annoy you. Some will challenge assumptions you didn’t even know you had. Some will say things that feel uncomfortable, unfair, or blunt.
Good.
Listen anyway.
The real secret in life—the one nobody likes to admit—is that you can learn the most from people you don’t like, don’t agree with, or wouldn’t invite to dinner. Wisdom doesn’t require approval. It only requires attention.
By the end of the year, you won’t just think differently about money.
You’ll think differently about risk. About time. About leverage. About people. About yourself.
And once that changes, behavior follows. And once behavior changes, outcomes eventually do too.
That’s the quiet advantage.
No hype. No shortcuts. Just twelve books, twelve months, and a willingness to listen.
2026 doesn’t need to be louder.
It needs to be smarter.

Tips for Using the Links
- If a link redirects you to a search page instead of a specific audiobook, use the title and author names in Audible’s search bar after opening it.
- Some books (especially Poor Charlie’s Almanack) have multiple editions or narrators; Audible’s search listing will show the most current English-language version available.
- These links are to Audible’s U.S. store; if you’re in a different region, you may be prompted to switch or redirected to your local Audible catalog. (Audible.com)
